"Brothers Of The Holy Note" during the Starbird Music Hall Sessions
August 2007. L to R: Bill, Marc, Mike, and Mark.

After the successful Reunion the previous July, Bill returned to Reno and
the boys began using new FTP technology to begin writing a new series
of songs and moving the different parts between the via computer.

At the same time, Mike began plans for bnilding Swell Studios in Westbrook.
During the 1st 2 weeks in August the group moved into the Starbird Music Hall
in Portland and began rehearsing and recording portions of their news songs.

After the sessions at Starbirds ended, recording took place in Swell Studios and
continued into 2008. A number of completely new Demos were finished, and work
began on a few tracks. The work remains in the can, waiting for a future time.

At the time of the new sessions, the group decided to change their name from Love, Inc.
to BOTHN, to reflect something more modern, and their friendship of many years.
Bill designed the graphics for the group.

Titles include Bill's "Stand Up", Mark's "That's What I Want" and "Still Young",
while Mike began work on a track, and Marc revived "Never Never Land" (2007)
and wrote Kathleen as a tribute to his wife.

During the Starbird sessions, Mark's son Jeremy and Assistant Manager and
Recording Engineer Dale took hundreds of photos, many of which follow.

Also during this time, the band's 1st Road Manager, Wayne Sacco, passed away.
His Obituary as published in the Maine Sunday Telegram, appears here also.

But, to start at the beginning, Mike Mark and Marc gathered at Marco Polo
on February 2, 2007, and started rehearsals together for the 1st time since 1971.

Bill returned to Maine during the 1st two weeks of August 2007, before
moving back permanently, and the band moved into the Starbird Music
Hall for rehearsals and initial recording of new songs.

In the fall of 2007 recording resumed in Mike's Swell Studios, where the
tracks remain in their raw form. Time will tell if they will be completed.

Rehearsals continued in June, with the boys working out parts of their new
songs. Meantime, Bill remained in Reno and continued working from there.

Here are 3 photos of the June 2007 sessions,
final "tune-up" before heading to Starbirds.
